Building Wire
What is "all-copper" quality wiring?
Simply stated, "all-copper" means that the electrical service inside
your home is carried exclusively through electrolytic Copper wiring.
This includes the Copper conductors made from electrolytic Copper used
in your circuit breaker panel, in branch circuit wiring (to outlets,
switches, lighting fixtures etc.), and in branches serving heavy-load
appliances (such as cooking ranges, ovens, washing machines and air
conditioners).
What is the need for independent circuits connected through an MCB?
The first step towards safe and economical power consumption is correct
planning and designing of the electric circuits. Proper circuitry
planning helps reduce wastage of electricity and save on electricity
bills. Independent circuits should be connected through an MCB which
provides protection to the circuits of each room.
How does planning of adequate number of points help while planning of circuit design?
A well-planned circuit needs to take into account the type and location
of points required, the operating conditions of the electrical
appliances and the planning for more points for future needs. This
prevents overloading of circuits that can lead to possible electrical
fire hazards.
Why is good earthing important?
Most electrically operated equipments and appliances have some metal
works like casing body that are exposed. In case of a fault inside, the
outer casing body becomes 'live' and anyone touching it could receive a
shock. Proper earthing of the electrical circuits ensured through
Copper earthing wires, plates, rods and ELCBs reduces the chances of
electric shock.
Can I expect long-term, trouble-free performance with proper specification of wires used in wiring design?
Safe house wiring practices take into account the different loads that
are connected in the circuit and therefore wires of different sizes are
used for different loads. This is important for safety against
electrical shocks and fire hazards. Use of electrolytic Copper wires
and cables that meets the ISI standards helps save energy, allows
trouble-free operation and ensures comfort and convenience.
