Why do you advocate Copper over other materials?

Copper is one of the most useful metals ever discovered by man. Its many strengths have long been exploited in industries as diverse as plumbing, building and construction, electrical and electronics as well as telecommunications. Besides its inherent qualities of versatility, durability, impermeability, resistance to both corrosion and pressure, copper also is an excellent value for money option.

Does Copper have any health benefits?

Copper is an essential trace element, which is important for our overall health. At least 20 enzymes contain copper and at least 10 depend on copper to function. These enzymes occur in most tissues and affect functions of the cardiovascular, nervous and immune systems, as well as the lung, thyroid, pancreas and kidney. Copper also has biostatic properties. Research has shown that copper can kill or prohibit bacteria growth like E Coil. More than 99% of the bacterial population introduced into a copper plumbing system will disappear in five hours or less. As a result, copper enjoys wide popularity as a material in plumbing systems, kitchenware and doorknobs amongst many others.

How is Copper environment-friendly?

Copper is recyclable. A very high proportion of copper systems are manufactured from recycled material. Off-cuts of material from installation work and copper systems removed from old or refurbished buildings are often returned, re-melted and refined - thus helping to conserve the planet's natural resources.

Is not green patina formed on copper articles harmful to health?

No. It is a strong adherent film and does not cause any health problem.
